Senator Grove A- Rating

I have earned an A- rating with the SD Property Rights and Local Control Alliance. I am so excited to report that my belief in people owning their land without fear of the Government taking it or allowing others to take it, and that all forms of terrorist like abuses are considered unacceptable! Leave our landowners alone!

Admittedly, I do not have an A+ and the reason is HB1235. The bill in my mind was not an actual “fix” to property taxes because it did not address one of the biggest issues: School Opt Outs. Did you know that school boards have the power to impact your property taxes, WITHOUT legislative oversight? This bill did not address that issue, and to be honest, it felt like a yes vote was purely a vote to appease the scorecard makers. I want change! I like the A-, I’m honored, but I want to serve the people with legislation that actually does something.

Look for legislation in 2026. It’s coming!
